Preparing for Unemployment by Frank LawrenceThat's a horrible
title, isn't it? But the fact is, as secure as we feel we are in our
career, things change. I've been laid off and fired from jobs and
the fact of the matter is, employers seldom provide the notice they
expect us to give. If you have a family to support, a career change
like this can be even more devastating. My aim is to help you
prepare for the inevitable....unexpected career change. Rather than
be in a position where an unexpected career change forces you to run
to Walmart and McDonalds to find jobs that will half cover your
loss, you can prepare now to lessen the hurt that comes from being
fired or layed off. It'll cost a little money, maybe $500 - $800,
but it's best to invest now while you are working than to try and
find it the day after a layoff. Imagine setting yourself up to
immediately
begin spending your off
time pulling in money! I've been experimenting with making money on
the internet for a couple of years now. I have put out a lot of
money trying to unlock the secrets. And there are secrets, well
protected, and after a couple of years of foolish spending, I'm
finally discovering those secrets. I intend to provide you with the
tools to discover those secrets. It's much more fun to discover
secrets than have them spoon fed to you. I can guarantee the few
tools I suggest will set you on the road to independence. OK, let's
get started. Let's go get a domain name!!
Wrong!!.
How about let's go grab some web server space!! Wrong!! How
about we go grab a pen and paper or open Notepad!! Right!!!
Now...let's jot down some subjects we are especially expert at. This
is in my opinion the simplest and most important step in your
internet marketing plan! It could be gardening, cooking, plumbing,
who knows. Save this list. It is your personal core in your
marketing efforts. It need not be 10 subjects, it could be as few as
2. As you diversify, this should be the list you'll refer to at the
start of all of your projects. Now, let's start a blog. Simply pop
over to blogspot at http://www.blogger.com/home . Follow the 3 step
process to start a blog based on one of the subjects.
